Ryhana is a graduate of the University of Toronto, McMaster University where she completed her M.Sc. in Global Health and most recently of Western University where she completed her Medical Doctorate. She is currently completing residency at the University of Toronto.
Aside from her medical training, Ryhana is also the head female instructor of UMMA Martial Arts where she runs the female program at two Islamic Centres in Scarborough. She also founded Martial Smarts a non-profit organization focused on female empowerment and self-esteem building through self-defense. In her spare time, she is involved in several community projects including The Pad Project supplying feminine hygiene products to local women’s shelters.
