Hussein Allidina, CFA, is Director, Commodities within the Capital Markets department at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. In his role, he and his team are responsible for managing Teachers’ liquid commodity portfolio. Prior to joining Teachers’ in 2013, Hussein was Morgan Stanley’s Global Head of Commodity Research for near 7 years, responsible for fundamental research and analysis across commodity markets. In this role, Hussein placed first in Institutional Investor’s 2012 All-America Fixed Income poll for Commodities Strategy, and second in Commodity Business Awards’ Research House of the Year poll in 2012, after placing first in 2010. Hussein also worked at Goldman Sachs on the Commodity Research team and as a Commodities Analyst with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He holds a degree in Economics with Honors from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
Hussein spends his free time with his wonderful wife, Anar, and their three beautiful children, Layla, Qasim and Mahdi.
