Project Description

Halima Jama is an international Black Muslim Fine Arts Wedding Photographer based in Toronto. Important themes of her work is her skilled ability to curate the love and gentleness between those who love one another, along with imagery that acts routinely counter challenging the negative and criminalizes representation of Muslim people in media. Her work has been included but not limited to, an exhibit at the AGO titled: “I love you, Fi Sabililah”, working with the UN as an ambassador to help rewrite the narrative and history of Somalia through art and work that celebrates marginalized demographics in an dignifying or honourable light.
