Fariha Naqvi-Mohamed is a journalist, blogger, social media influencer and passionate ambassador for diversity. Fariha has made history as the first woman to wear the hijab on Quebec television in her role as a video journalist for CityNews Montreal. Fariha goes behind the scenes to share stories from Montreal’s diverse communities in a segment entitled Diverse City. It is the only segment of its kind in Canada.
She is the editor and founder of CanadianMomEh.com [https:// www.canadianmomeh.com] and writes a weekly op-ed column every Friday in the Montreal Gazette.
Fariha spoke at We Day Montreal 2019 and shared her experience breaking glass ceilings to an audience of over 2000 students.
