Bill Gates, Google and AT&T recognize him as a hero.

His organization has revolutionized the way education is spread across borders and to the masses, free of any cost to the student.

With the mission to ‘provide a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere’, Khan Academy was founded by Salman Khan – a hero to the millions who benefit from his mode of education.

In 2003, Khan started tutoring his cousin Nadia in mathematics over the internet, and soon began helping other friends and relatives through tutorials posted on a YouTube channel that he created in 2006. Within the first few years his videos surpassed over 458 million views and in 2009 he quit his job as a financial analyst to work full time on developing Khan Academy.

Khan Academy has succeeded in creating a global classroom for millions of students all over the world, where they can use a personalized learning dashboard that enables them to learn at their own pace. Practice exercises and instructional videos are offered in a multitude of subjects including math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics and more, creating endless learning possibilities for students, teachers and parents everywhere.
